Preventing bullying within and through football
Hello there!
Are you a football coach working with youngsters aged between 10 and 18 years old? We have good news for you! You can now fight bullying within children’s and adolescents’ teams while training.
The PINBALL consortium designed a football methodology whose specific aims are:
- eliminating bullying episodes from youth football teams
- providing coaches with skills to detect and fight bullying
promoting a culture based on sports values against bullying in the EU
The PINBALL methodology is made of a total of nine activities, specifically targeting the PINBALL project objectives and anti-bullying principles.
- One preliminary activity is meant for coaches to learn more about the bullying phenomenon.
- Eight activities are meant to be implemented during the sports season within youth football teams – have a look at them!
You can try some activities or the whole methodology. If you go with the second proposal, try to implement the activities in a fixed order: this is because some of the activities are preparatory to the subsequent ones. All activities come with a detailed description and materials to be printed.
What are you waiting for? Stop bullying, let’s play football!
